Wii U has significant slowdown but the Switch runs perfectly smooth in this instance. The game is capped to 30 FPS on both systems. The comparison isn't perfect because in the Wii U footage the player jumps down into the explosion and gets damaged (triggering ragdoll physics for Link), which may have affected how much slowdown there is. Still interesting though. Also it is possible the Wii U version will get more optimized before release but it wouldn't surprise me if not. Thanks for watching, sorry the clip is rather abrupt.
