Botwoon skip
29This is a demonstration of skipping Botwoon. The technique is as follows:
- Freeze a zoa in the wall. Its left side should be flush against the wall, such that you can't see it.
- Allow another zoa to knock you into the wall. Because of the positioning of the first zoa, you should move into the wall a pixel or two.
- Freeze another zoa such that it will be flush against Samus. The next hit should push you into the wall.
- Repeat until you have moved into the wall 8 times.
- Destroy all zoas nearby, then wall jump check into the next room.
Unfortunately, you either need to be TASing, or have Gravity to get past cactus alley. Fortuantely, this trick works just as well with Gravity on.
Credit for this trick probably goes to eternisedDragon7. I wanted to display a cleaner version, and figure out what exactly determines how you move in the wall. Turns out you just have to freeze the zoas at the right time.
