Boxxle - Brain Power to move Boxes | 1989 | Game Boy Classic (DMG)
Boxxle (倉庫番) is a puzzle video game released by Fujisankei Communications International for the Game Boy in 1989 and Game Gear in 1990. Its Japanese title is Soukoban. The gameplay is the same as in other games in the Sokoban series, with the plot being that the player must maneuver boxes in a warehouse in order to make enough money to woo his desired girlfriend. It had a sequel called Boxxle 2.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio. I also use a shader / filter that simulates the image of the original Gameboy Screen. And also I created a classic Gameboy image to use as a bezel above the game, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
