Tetris (Marathon Mode) | 2002 | Bandai WonderSwan Color / SwanCrystal
Tetris (Russian: Тетрис) is a puzzle video game created by the Soviet software engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1985. It has been published by several companies for multiple platforms, most prominently during a dispute over the appropriation of the rights in the late 1980s. The WonderSwan Color version was produced and distributed by Vanguard, exclusively for that platform. It was the first Tetris in the "Tetris Guideline" series (Tetris games developed from 2001 to date) to be released in Japan (8 days earlier than GBA version of Tetris Worlds).
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was emulated at Retroarch. It was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (display aspect ratio, not internal resolution). And captured using shader / filter that simulates the original screen of the hardware. I also created an image of the handheld to use as a bezel above the game, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
