Bram Stoker's Dracula on NES - Horror Retrogaming - Gameplay
Bram Stoker's Dracula for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an example of a horror adaptation gone wrong. The movie wasn't at all appropriate for kids, and yet this game was released for what was essentially a children's toy in the NES. Also, the game is a mess, bringing to mind many of the horrid experiences I've had with some of the LJN classics I've played in this series.
Every Thursday, I put out a video in my Horror Retrogaming Series. In this series, I'm trying to illustrate how horror has been presented in gaming these past few decades. I will trace this evolution by playing adaptations of horror movies and books, early survival horror games, and any old school game that tried its hardest to actually be scary. I'm a huge horror fan, and this series is the flagship of my channel.
This game was captured from my live Twitch stream.
