Banjo Kazooie is considered a classic piece of retrogaming for the Nintendo 64. It was introduced on the N64 at the height of the 3D platform gaming trend of the late 90's and is still considered to be one of best games of the fifth generation of consoles. I'm very happy that it was included in the Rare Replay collection on Xbox One because I will finally have an opportunity to play it. This playthrough part features the continuation of Spiral Mountain, the tutorial area.
Rare Replay is a retrogaming compilation of games from Rare Ltd (the creative and quirky games studio) that is an exclusive to the Xbox One. The games included span the entire history of Rare's catalogue from ZX Spectrum games, to Nintendo Entertainment System Games, to N64 games and all the way up to Xbox 360 games. This has been especially anticipated since it was unveiled at E3 2015 this past June.
I've been very excited for this game. I loved several of the NES games in the collection, so I'm looking forward to revisiting those. I never owned a ZX Spectrum or Nintendo 64, so its very exciting to be playing these games for the first time. Also, I missed most of Rare's additions to the Xbox 360, so I can't wait for those either. And Grabbed by the Ghoulies will make a welcome addition to my Horror Retrogaming series!
