Bravely Default II - Early-Game Foraging & JP Farming
240Showing how "broken" the foraging feature is which you can use early-game to get very good items such as High Potions, Phoenix Downs, Mini Ethers AND Ethers, other curatives, EXP/JP boosters, throwing weapons and more.
Also showing how you can get decent JP early-game (even early in the prologue), enough to max out classes in under an hour.
Featured abilities: Forage, JP Up, JP Up and Up, plus the optional Body Slam and Bare-Knuckle abilities to speed things along.
Intended as an early-game demonstration. I am aware of other options.

Incidentally, there is a rare monster in the overworld right in this area. Once you're strong enough to beat that comfortably you can switch to farming JP from that as it nets over 200 on its own (on Casual). By the time I maxed all the jobs before Bard then came to raise that after getting it, I could beat that monster in under a minute without getting hit. Be aware though that doing this will OVER-PREPARE you for the Bard boss, big time, even if you face him on Hard!
In regard to farming the horse for speed buns, you may wish to save that until you get a certain ability to increase the drop rate of rare items, which is available from a sidequest near the end of Chapter 1.
