Break Out of White Maps with the '+1 to Spell Skills' Vendor Recipe [#PoEHack #2]
49Do you know what really makes a difference when trying to get to yellow or even red maps while playing a spell skill? You might have guessed it: Any +1 to spell skill gem weapons. This vendor recipe is extremely useful to carry your damage in mid- to high-tier maps, while the added flat damage vendor recipe tends to be better for leveling.
How it works: Simply trade any rune dagger, sceptre, staff, or wand (normal rarity) and 2 or more quality skill gems with a combined total of 40% quality and the same damage tag to a vendor of your choice, e.g., when all the gems have the physical tag, the resulting weapon will receive a '+1 to all physical spell skill gems' modifier. It even works with the chaos tag and influenced items!
