Okay, for real this time.

Even though video games have been rooted in cinematic influence ever since the 90s, traditional 'introduction scenes' like the ones in film are somewhat rare. You know how, most of the time, you just walk up to someone and they tell you their life story? This scene... isn't that. It's perhaps one of the most cinematic introductions in all of gaming, but that doesn't mean it'll let you put the controller down.

This is a breakdown of the greatest character introduction scene in gaming -- and quite possibly the greatest cutscene in gaming, too.
