Welcome back, Pokémon Trainers! It's time again for a weekly news update video!

- At this point, I usually announce the Pokémon TCG booster packs I'll be opening up in this video, with the code cards being distributed to a number of lucky viewers. This time, however, I'm not opening up any packs at all. That's because, with this coming Wednesday, February 3rd, being the release day for the new BREAKpoint expansion, I'm going to be giving out the eight code cards I received from the BREAKpoint boosters that I opened up during last week's prerelease tournament video. Watch for this week's Question of the Day in this video, then leave your response in a comment down below using the hashtag #QOTD, and you'll be entered into the running to receive one of these eight codes when I do the random drawing this Superbowl Sunday, February 7th!

- Speaking of Superbowl Sunday, a special Pokémon 20th TV commercial, Train On, will be airing during the big sportsball game itself! This is part of the 20th Birthday Celebration for the Pokémon franchise, along with all of the social media posts (Tweets, photos, videos, etc.) being featured on the Pokémon website. Click the links below to check it all out!

(And be sure to post your own birthday wishes using the hashtag #Pokemon20 for your chance to be featured as well!)

- In Pokémon Shuffle, a new Escalation Battle has appeared in the Special Stages, this one featuring the Unovan ice dragon Kyurem. In Escalation Battles, the stage level increases everytime you defeat the Pokémon, with the Pokémon's catch rate increasing with every level increase. Along the way you can also obtain special items for use in your games by hitting certain level marks as you attempt to capture Kyurem.

- The year-long Mythical Distributions have begun! Starting today through February 24th, in the United States, if you pop into your local GameStop store, you can pick up a special code that will give you access to the original Mythical Pokémon, Mew. If you don't live in the United States, worry not - visit Serebii.net, where they have a breakdown of all the countries across the globe that are taking part in the distribution, and which location you can pick up your own code at.

- The 2016 Pokémon US National Championships have been announced. They will be held from July 1st to 3rd at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. This is one of the biggest events in the competitive Pokémon community, second only to the World Championships themselves. Nationals is where you can earn Championship Points for your chance to be invited to the World Championships in San Fransisco, California this August.

- Pokkén Tournament has some big events coming up! First off, the new Fighting-type Pokémon game will have a presence at the Pokémon US Nationals in July. It will also be taking part in Evo 2016, the premier fighting game event, being held in Las Vegas, Nevada, also in July. Both of these events are part of the Pokkén Tournament Championship Series, leading up to the World Championships being held alongside the video game and TCG World Championships in San Fransisco, California in August.
