The mod idea came from discussions with friends at work about modelling a predator prey relationship in the ARMA 2 engine.
Each unit has an individual AI with unique genetics which define it's behaviour. The only thing each AI has in common is a hunger for food. Individuals can mate and produce offspring and pass on genetic information with some mutation.
The result is a dynamic continuous battle over food sources.
In the game there are two AI factions and one player controlled faction. The players can control the initial genetics of their faction's units and get involved in skirmishes themselves.
