The world's largest ever exercise to protect shipping from sea mines is underway, with 35 naval ships - six of them British - currently taking part in the Arabian Gulf.

It involves 41 countries and follows repeated threats from Iran to block the Straits of Hormuz and cut off a third of the world's oil supply.

In the first of a series of reports from the region Forces News has been looking at how international naval forces are testing their ability to deal with a worst-case scenario.
