In the first episode of the fourth game in the Broken Sword series, we find George Stobbart now running a lackluster bail bond agency in New York, leading a seemingly settled and uneventless life - which, naturally, is soon about to change due to the arrival of a mysterious woman by the name of Anna Maria, who wants him to investigate a medieval manuscript. Pretty soon the pair finds itself running for their lives from a bunch of hired thugs - and once they make their escape, it falls to George to retrieve the precious manuscript from Anna Maria's closely guarded hotel suite...
