In the first chapter of "Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers", we are introduced to our protagonist, the aspiring novelist Gabriel Knight. Apparently, he runs a used book shop in New Orleans, with the assistance of his part-time employee, the young and resourceful Grace Nakimura; and is currently interested in researching various aspects of Voodoo because of a recent series of ritual murders that may be connected with Voodoo practices. We also get to learn some things about Gabriel's personal history, as he spares some time to pay a visit to his Grandmother and finds a disturbing sketchbook in his old attic that once belonged to his father.
