Assessing the Program Satisfaction of Pioneering Graduates of the Bachelor in Secondary Education–Science: Evidence from a Philippine State University

Layman Abstract : This study looked at how satisfied the first graduates of a new Science teaching program were with their college experience. The program, called the Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Science, helps students become high school science teachers and started its first group of graduates in 2021-2022. Researchers asked 24 graduates from a state university in the Bicol Region, Philippines, how they felt about the program's teaching, support services, and facilities using surveys and interviews.
The results showed that most graduates were happy with the program, especially the way classes were taught and how the school supported them. Graduates liked the flexible curriculum, helpful teachers, and hands-on learning experiences. However, they also pointed out that the school needs to improve its science labs and equipment.
In conclusion, while the graduates were generally satisfied with the program, improving the laboratory facilities and practical science activities would make the program even better.
