Bugaboo (the Flea) 💥 Versions Comparison 💥 ZX Spectrum, C64, Amstrad CPC, MSX
Bugaboo (the Flea), best known as La Pulga in Spain, is a challenging platformer game created in 1983 by Paco Suárez and Paco Portalo and released by Indescomp. It is considered the first Spanish game and marks the beginning of the so-called Golden Age of Spanish Software. In this video, we show gameplay of its ports:
00:00 ZX Spectrum (1983)
02:40 Commodore 64 (1984)
05:11 Amstrad CPC (1984)
05:54 MSX (1986)
07:16 ZX81 (1983)*
Which is your favorite version?
On Commodore 64 and MSX the game was released as Booga-boo (the Flea) and for Amstrad CPC as Roland in the Caves. In Italy, its C64 port was known as Il paese incantato.
* I couldn't confirm that the ZX81 version is the actual prototype created by Paco Suárez or a later version released for that system, although it matches its creators' descriptions.
