👁 About this video : In today's video I show you how to make the Slimline stage two bumper pieces compatible with the Hiline series front bumper! I always wanted to add these pieces onto my bumper to give it that full size bumper look without adding that extra weight. Hiline does not make those end pieces so if you have this bumper, this is the best way to do it! We started off by holding the end pieces up to see what was in the way and how they would stay flush with the bumper. After grinding away a few areas, we slowly got it to start aligning correctly and what would end up being the final product. We did cut off one of the three bolt hole locations that come on the end pieces, but with two, it is just as secure. These pieces are not "function" in a sense that there won't be any weight dropping onto those pieces so two works fine! For the cutting on the actual truck bumper, we gave ourselves plenty of room for the first cut. Once you cut too much, that's it, so we started off small getting the bulk of the lower bumper out of the way and that allowed us to actually place the bumper up to the truck to see where we had to make adjustments. That was the hardest part lining up the bumper multiple times, but it was well worth it to make the end pieces as uniform as possible. One trick that we did learn was adding spacers inside the lower bolt hole that we drilled and that allowed us to move the end piece closer or farther away from the actual truck bumper. We initially had some rubbing between the truck bumper and the end pieces and with a small adjustment, that was solved! One side was too far away, so we knew we needed to tighten the bolt to bring that in more! So take some time to make the needed adjustments to make it a perfect fit! It's a lot of work, but I love how it looks, even though they stick out a bit, that's extra armor and it matches with the rear bumper sticking out too!
