BUILDING A RAFT - Number 1
It's time to build a R.A.F.T. If you know what a R-A-F-T is, prepare to be annoyed. If you don't know what a R-A-F-T is, prepare to learn. The acronym RAFT is a concept developed by David C. Pollock as a way for people to transition from different seasons of life to the next. I grew up being reminded to build a RAFT every year and most years, I didn't. I can't say that I regret my non-existent RAFTs or my half-built RAFTs, but I can say that I've learned from them. Each year, I've gotten a little bit better at saying goodbye. Each year, I've built slightly more complete or recognisable RAFTs. It's reached that time in my life again, when it's time to try to build another RAFT. I've said and spelled RAFT a total of 10 times now, let's just go ahead and do it.
