A proper bull breeding routine is essential for effective reproduction and herd health. Begin by selecting healthy, strong bulls with proven genetics and fertility. Before the breeding season, conduct a breeding soundness evaluation (BSE) to check semen quality, libido, and overall health.

Ensure the bull has a nutritious diet rich in energy, protein, minerals, and vitamins to maintain strength and fertility. Keep the bull in good body condition—neither too thin nor too fat. Provide regular exercise to maintain stamina.

Introduce the bull to females during their heat cycle, usually 12–18 hours after signs of estrus. One mature bull can breed 25–30 cows in natural service per season. Avoid overworking the bull, and rotate if possible.

Monitor mating activity to ensure the bull is actively breeding. After the season, isolate the bull and conduct health checks. Regular vaccination, deworming, and hoof care are also important.

Maintaining a consistent breeding routine ensures high fertility rates, strong offspring, and efficient herd growth.
