Bulletstorm VR is a painfully ugly game on the Quest 3, if that was it's biggest sin then it would probably be okay but this new VR game also suffers from a plethora of performance issues and bugs that ultimately leave the 13 year old game feeling OLDER on the Quest platform than it does on the Xbox 360!!! This Bulletstorm VR review is based on my experience with the Quest platform version (specifically Quest 3), I blasted through the 8-10hr campaign over the last two weeks & found it to be one of the worst looking VR games in the Quest library. It's a game littered with low quality textures, horrendous pop in, no lighting or shadows and a general lack of atmosphere that leave the whole experience feeling hollow and devoid of personality. The original Bulletstorm had a certain charm that made it so beloved and every now and then you'll see sparks of this greatness in the new VR version, but all too often these moments of genuine fun are squashed by bugs, visual issues and an overwhelming feeling that the game simply isn't finished...

All Bulletstorm VR gameplay in this Bulletstorm VR review was captured natively on the Quest 3 using the most recent build of the game. Day one patches may drop to improve issues detailed here but at the time of releasing this video THIS is the launch day experience.
