The judge in the case ruled in favor of Bungie, finding AimJunkies liable for copyright and trademark infringement, as well as DMCA-related violations. Additionally, the judge found AimJunkies' parent company, Phoenix Digital Group, liable for selling the loader used to facilitate the cheat.
The decision is a major victory for Bungie, as it is the first time a video game developer has been able to successfully sue a cheat provider. As more and more players resort to using cheats to gain an unfair advantage in video games, it is likely that this legal victory will set a precedent for future cases.
