Making up a large portion of Busch Gardens Oakland's waterfront is traditional Kyoto Bay, bringing the timeless culture of medieval Japan to the table. The third country to be added to the park, Kyoto Bay has a substantial ride collection, but has only seen one major investment since the eighties: a B&M dive coaster called Unagi. The world's first dive coaster to feature two dives, Unagi has been dangling riders helplessly over harbor waters infested by a villainous eel monster since 2005. For those not up to monstrous thrills, there are plenty of other fun rides, such as the Tokyo Drift bumper cars or Tenjin sky tower. Feeling hungry? Head to the Beer Zen Garden for some sushi and a nice, cold Sapporo. Kyoto Bay might be dated, but no day at Busch Gardens is complete without a stroll along the waterfront to ride Unagi!
