All aboard! Just in time for the holidays, The Polar Express is here to take you on a roller coaster ride through the frozen mountains to the North Pole. Fall down icy cliffs, careen over a frozen lake, and race through frigid forests to get to your destination on schedule on this magical train ride like no other. Prepare to believe in ways you never have before, especially on The Polar Express where some of the most real parts of the ride are the things you can't see...

Just like the movie it was based on, Polar Express is a marvel of engineering that utilizes cutting edge technology. A product of Dynamic Attractions, Polar Express is a modified form of Vekoma's timeless mine train ride system done as a Dynamic Attractions Dual Power Coaster. While most of the ride takes place on the true track of the coaster, there are two instances along the layout when the real track dives under a false surface, giving the illusion that the train is sliding off the rails along something else. It's a ride type that has sold in reality but has yet to open, but was purchased by the chain I had intended for this coaster.

There are several Polar Express creations done in both RCT3 and PlanCo on YouTube, but all of them were more attempts to recreate the movie as a video and not actually designing a ride based on the movie. So I decided to step on in, do an homage to my favorite serious Christmas movie, and ended up with a pretty reasonable Disney/Universal-esque thematic coaster themed to a movie and clad to the teeth in props, special effects, and mind-boggling illusions. I had some editing issues with Openshot being stupid and had to clean it up in Windows Video Editor or whatever it's called so the editing towards the end isn't the best, but I'm ultimately pleased with how it ended up.

Honestly since I got my computing capabilities back my life has been a lot better and I'm going into 2020 with major creative juices flowing, so right out of January we'll have good stuff rolling right out to you. I'm working on my annual end of year video (where #ProjectAlpha will be revealed for all you Facebookies out there!) as well as toying with the idea of rebranding my channel. I will also be making a change to my working approach in how I get ride designs out which will be revealed at a date closer to New Year's Eve. Stay tuned for that end of the year video, it's about to really heat up!
