CA remastered edition of Hot Pursuit, titled Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, was released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 6 November 2020, and for Nintendo Switch on 13 November 2020, just ahead of the game's tenth anniversary. It is the first game in the Need for Speed series to receive a remastering, and is based on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the original release. In addition to updated visuals and support for newer hardware, the game includes cross-platform play support for multiplayer. It also includes all former main DLC, with the career events of the Super Sports Pack, Lamborghini Untamed, and Porsche Unleashed integrated into the main career rather than being separately playable from it. It also adds the ability to change the colour of most Racer vehicles and—via an update released in February 2021—add custom wraps to such vehicles. Notably, three vehicles that were in the original game, the 722 Edition and Stirling Moss models of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, and the Carbon Motors E7 Concept, are missing.
