When trying to clear Brawl's final Co-Op event solo with Lucario, this ending sequence happened for what should have been a successful run, before multiple layers of bullshit happened right at the very end at once. To recap:

*I acquire the Smash Ball with just Snake and Wolf left. This should have won the run, but before Wolf could get trapped in Aura Storm, Snake's planted C4 conveniently explodes on him, which also conveniently launches him in a trajectory that goes just above and over Lucario while escaping Aura Storm completely. Ok that's fine, I could kill him with just one or two more hits, but then...

*A green shell immediately spawns, where after some evasiveness from Wolf, he goes right to it and grabs it. At this point I don't pursue, as he can easily throw it and hit me, which will guarantee kill me, and even if I did hit him, he could drop it, where it will then hit and kill me. So I decide to escape to the platforms and play defensively until he throws it, but then...

*A super mushroom spawns immediately right on top of him. The Green Shell misses, but then he down smashes and it hits me with his giant reach...

I probably should have just immediately fled for the ledge and plank the giant transformation out instead of trying to use Wolf's increased size to sneak the killing blow in. But regardless, this may have been the most frustrating moment I've encountered yet, and it took nearly two more hours to get a successful run after this (one that I also think wasn't as good as the would-be successful run screwed over here).
