Like a fire... sometimes it burns bright, and other times it dims... but one thing is certain: it never goes out with a bang; only a fizzle.

Considering this is a bunch of no-name map makers, I'm pleasantly surprised. But as a 'best of the year' it really doesn't deserve it.
For one, it's too inconsistent, meaning your high from a level you loved can suddenly get curb stomped because the next author is much less your taste.
Secondly, it just has several HR2 style levels of dumb that, honestly, do not fit some of the more tribute-like or creative levels.

Basically, it's a fire. A messy fire.
But, if you really want to, there's a few gems in there worth it, to some extent.
