Calisthenics Winter Cup Torino - Burningate Gym
Hi everyone, this is a footage taken from the competition held yesterday at Turin, it was a calisthenics endurance parkour, actually my last 7 reps from the pullups are missing from the video!
This was the workout:
- 15 pullups
- 30 box jumps
- 30 dips
- 30 squat jumps
- 30 pushups
- 15 pullups
- Max cap time 8 minutes
My final time was 6:00, the mean time of the day was around 5:40, so I'm pretty happy about my performance, even though with a different technique on the box jumps I could have done 5:40!
The form was required to be pretty strict, so:
- pullups: chin over bar and arms extended at the bottom
- box jumps: complete extension on the legs on top of the box
- dips: arm bent parallel to bar and lockout on the elbows at the extension
- squat jumps: butt touching heels and complete extension at the jump
- pushups: touching the bottle at the bottom with the chest, and lockout with elbows.
I tried made the exercises with the correct form and fast, I think I overdid it in the box jumps, I missed a couple of reps and got too tired after that, plus the fact that I was using a support for my wrists with the pushups and that forced me to go even deeper to touch the bottle. Overall I did my best and even though I was far from the best times, I'm happy to have partecipated and that I challenged myself.
