In this video we set off on a new let's play adventure game adventure. Shadow of the Comet released in 1993 by Infogrames the game is based on H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos but not on one story in particular taking elements from a few of them, chiefly The Shadow Over Innsmouth (considering the town and game name that's pretty clear) but also The Dunwich Horror.

Taking place in 1910 British photographer John Parker visits the town of Illsmouth to investigate the original findings of Lord Boleskine who visited the town last time Halley's Comet was in the neighbourhood and came back both insane and with a trove of notes and illustrations after reading Boleskine's Notes John totally thinks he can easily succeed where Boleskine failed, and with his boss demanding actual evidence of anything he reports he's got no choice but to do so.
