Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a first-person shooter video game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. A remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it was released worldwide on November 4, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It is available as a bundle with either the Legacy, Digital Deluxe or Legacy Pro editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with physical versions requiring the Infinite Warfare disc inserted to access the remaster. A standalone edition of the game was released on June 27, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, and July 27, 2017 for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

Modern Warfare Remastered builds upon the original by featuring extensive graphical, rendering, and lighting enhancements, updated animations, remastering original sound effects as well as adding new, and offers numerous small improvements while retaining the original core gameplay. Extras such as new multiplayer content and additional achievements and cheats are also included. Upon release, the game received positive reviews, with praise for the improved graphics, sound, and range of enhancements from Modern Warfare, in addition to the gameplay for having aged well and providing challenge. Criticism focused on the dated narrative, artificial intelligence, and certain design choices retained from the original, with split opinions given to the multiplayer that was seen as both dated and refreshingly simplistic (although new online content would later be distributed through post-release updates). The game was also the subject of controversy for initially only being released as part of a bundle, having microtransactions incorporated into the multiplayer, and the determined pricing of the downloadable content and standalone version of the game.
