My Companions and I were at the main camp in the Truck Cemetery, where other Loners had arrived in the level, and I had slowly added a few more Companions to my platoon. The original plan had been to wait for daylight and favorable storm conditions, to enter the Army Warehouses and find a favorable path to engage the Monolith at the Barrier. Keeping in mind I needed to avoid fighting anyone that was still allies with the Bandits, that had given me the mission.

However, as the morning I arrived, I checked the Loner Faction relations with the Bandits and saw it had further decreased and was now only 7 points away from War. All it would take was a single death of anyone, along that journey, not only going there but traveling all the way back to Olivius in the Dark Valley. This gave me a feeling of the futility of even trying, as it could end disastrously for me, trying to accommodate moving twenty plus men through most likely hostile territory.

If the Loners and Bandits go back to War, an action that is totally inevitable at this point, being in the Truck Cemetery is being truly 'behind enemy lines' for all its access points. With the Loners already at War with Freedom in the Army Warehouses and Duty in Rostok, the Dark Valley to the south would be the final location needed to totally surround the massive vehicle graveyard. No Faction wanted this location as a headquarters. It was too irradiated, devoid of any significant man-made structures that were useful, other than the small camp that we presently occupied.
