Call Of The Zone - Bandito #115: Me And The Boys Go To The Red Forest At Night
In deciding whether to go after the Ecologist with the gauss gun, to give him the document I had on me, or did I go back to the Dark Valley and take care of that Duty squad, now that they were my enemies? Once the Ecologist left the Red Forest and took off across Jupiter, that question seemed answered for itself. However, it was the action in the last video where I showed how attacking that one Duty squad lost me hundreds of points in Faction relations. It was then that I decided I did not want to take that hit, with my attack on them at the Bloodsucker Village.
I was going to go back to my save before that attack, when I realized going to the Dark Valley was basically the same thing. A most likely reduction of hundreds of points with the Ecologists again and I'm far from returning that document. It was then that I realized going after the Ecologist, was the only choice that didn't involve attacking their allies. I found a save four hours before, right after I zapped the two Bloodsuckers that had entered the Army Warehouses coming from the Red Forest.
At this moment in time, the Ecologist was still in the Red Forest Mine, and I knew I could not take my Freedom Companion since he was enemies with the Ecologists. I let him go inside the Freedom Base and I took my four Bandit Companions with me to the Red Forest. It was at night and not my favorite time to travel with all the nocturnal mutants. Additionally, I totally expected the Red Forest Bridge to be held by some Faction, most likely a hostile one I would have to fight. I was not disappointed.
