Call Of The Zone - Bandito #805: The Limits Of Control
This is basically about 3 hours where I poke around Yanov Station, talking to people and trying to get some jobs. The thing I'm not happy about is, I had to wait 3 months before the Bandits got an alliance with the Loners, and the entire time I've been fighting to keep the numbers out of the yellow negative range. I wanted to have both the Loners and Freedom as allies so I could go to the far north of Jupiter and Zaton.
Yanov Station in Jupiter, is the only location with a Trader and Repair Tech in Jupiter other than the Ecologists at the Mobile Lab. They have a Repair Tech but don't sell any needed ammo or other supplies. Previously on my two other trips up to Jupiter, my Companions stayed with the Bandits at the Container Yard. I started to stash some basic supplies there, but that Outpost is subject to frequent mutant attacks and if the number of Bandits get too low, the Game will spawn other Factions inside their compound. It's just a high-risk location.
However, Zaton is even more difficult. The Skadovsk, fully under control of the Loners, is the only location with a Trader and Repair Tech. There are no other safe locations or shelter, to leave your Companions. Even the underground lab can potentially spawn mutants or zombies. You can't leave men in the Controller Cave because it is often used by nearby Factions for shelter in a storm. The Recycling Plant and Ranger or Forestry Station, are locations of men and mutant spawns. I can't just run around Zaton with all my men like a train with a long tail. If you are not allies with the Loners, you can visit Zaton but there's no place to linger.
I was very unhappy with the DFR but the only saving grace was I got all twenty-six Companions to Yanov Station. I recorded this video immediately after the previous one. I would leave my Game and sleep on it and the next day I would come back to it, but it was not going to be this reality.
