Calypso Mode DLC S Ranks
17Welp, Calypso just recently finished modding the DLC on their mod, aswell as giving Goopy a fun little challenge mode. Calypso DLC was WAY easier than Main Game Calypso when it was first released.
My thoughts? I do like the changes that were made on the DLC, I would definitely consider the Calypso DLC harder than the Geo DLC but it's still considered balanced and fair, harder but still balanced, and certainly not at the level of Morison's Souped Up DLC Mod (The Glumstone I will say is easier than the Astral Glumstone but I do think the Calypso Mortimer felt somewhat similar to the Astral Mortimer). King's Leap bosses are modded too, all are easy just don’t get greedy with the knight, same for Angel and Demon, however I don’t know or understand why the cloud was removed from the fight.
I'm not gonna lie I honestly think the Calypso DLC could of looked similar to the MQ DLC, obviously not a precise MQ DLC but I do believe Calypso DLC could of looked similarly to a hypothetical MQ DLC, but unfortunately a true MQ DLC will never happen, oh well.
Yes, I know what you nerds are gonna say, Glumstone, Mortimer, Esther and Moonshine Mob were not S Ranks, logically you'd be correct but I guess the time for the S Rank was not adjusted properly for the DLC, oh well, besides if we were to go off the times in the Main Game Calypso they would all be considered S Ranks so you would be wrong theoretically, idc what you say, they are still S Ranks.
... Esther is way easier than Hilda, Djimmi, Kahl and Cala, though she's harder than Wally, I think my problem is that I'm not used to Bullet Hell games which made me struggle on getting the S Rank on the remaining 4 Main Game Plane bosses and I'm an overall better DLC player than Main Game player, I've also never played Touhou before like Justo (Yes, Justo did play Touhou), this likely explains my struggle on S Ranking the remaining 4 Plane bosses even though I’m playing on the recent version where they are nerfed, aswell as my struggle on trying to S Rank the plane bosses on Souped Up, oh well, I given up on the Souped Up mod a long time ago anyways.
