236Deathloop is a game that has many great things. The powers, the characters, the world are all terrific. But, all that would be nothing without what will surely go down as one of the best things in video games this year: the Deathloop kick. RPS freelancer Brendy Caldwell recently played that there Deathloop game for review, so I wanted to get him on to chat to me about it. It's a thing of beauty, really. As Brendy mentions in this Deathloop review chat, there are so many marvellous things about the Deathloop kick. Firstly, seeing screaming enemies rolling down hills is just comedy gold. Secondly, developer Arkane Studios' place enemies in the most kickable of positions, making it all the more satisfying to hoof baddies around the world. And, thirdly... just look at our Death Loop gameplay... the kick is phenomenal.
This Death Loop review chat does go into some other aspects of the game. Because, while there are some brilliantly funny moments in just punting enemies around the game, Deathloop has a genuinely funny script too, with the voice actors of both Colt and Julianna putting in great performances.
In the conversation you can hear over the Death loop gameplay, you'll also get to hear Brendy tell me about just how the time loop and assassination target deals work. It's all a little Hitman, as you're trying to take down eight targets in the most efficient way possible. It's very good. But, obviously, the kick still steals the show.
