"Can Global Cities Power a De-Globalizing World? Powered by Kearney" took place at the 7th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative on October 25th, 2023.
By their very nature, global cities are uniquely vulnerable to the global forces of change that are disrupting international trade and the flows of capital, people, and ideas. At the same time, these same forces reinforce the unique value and power of global cities as vital engines of cross-border collaboration, innovation and prosperity. The health of global cities is also therefore an important barometer of the direction of global change. In the context of global fragmentation, what are the key challenges and opportunities facing public and private sector urban leaders? In this rapidly changing environment, how can global cities strengthen their position as engines of economic growth and vitality?
