Can I beat a Pokemon Shield Hardcore Nuzlocke using ONLY Dual Types? (No items, no Overleveling)
116Welcome to the NEWEST Pokemon Challenge on the channel featuring Pokemon Sword and Shield, but this time I can only use Pokemon with TWO Typings AKA Dual Type Pokemon. This is different from the psychic types only AND it's a hardcore nuzlocke (basically a monolocke). This will mean we can only catch/battle with dual types during the ENTIRE game. Our first dual type encounter isn't until after we get balls, so the challenge technically can't start until then. We will be playing with set battle mode, no items in battle (aside from held items), and level caps, as wella s eating a bean boozled bean for every death. Check the full rules below. Also should mention I am playing Pokemon Sword Version and special shoutouts to the andrew collette show and keegan j for the inspiration to do this run!

HARDCORE NUZLOCKE RULES (POKEMON HARD MODE)

1. Only Pokemon with a Dual-typing can be used in battle.
2. I can only try to catch the first dual-type that I encounter in each area.
3. If a Pokemon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of the run.
4. If my whole team faints then the attempt is over.
5. No items in battle (held items are okay).
6. Set mode enabled.
7. I cannot over-level beyond the highest level of the next gym. The level cap is shown in the overlay. It is a soft level cap meaning one level above won't hurt.
8. No duplicate species can be caught. Encounters for species that I have caught previously are re-rolled or replaced with an encounter in wild area.
9. Any shiny dual-type can be caught regardless of whether it is the first encounter of an area.
10. WILD AREA: Limit of one initial encounter on my first visit and one additional encounter for each gym badge.
11. Name each team member after a bean boozed bean
12. Eat a bean boozled bean for every death
