It's a super simple question: can I sell an Open-Source software, GPL (GPLv3) licensed especially to my customers? They want software, there is this great open-source code, can I sell it to them? The answer is: yes, but actually no. You can deliver the code, but the code has to be GPLv3 licensed as well. You can not transfer ownership, as you don't own it yourself. And who would pay for software he can get for free from the internet?
What you can sell, it the know-how, support, development time needed to adjust the code. But not the code itself. GPL remains GPL!
