Each heat was decided using a random number generator, with the first eight trainers selected from the Masters Eight, and the other eight selected from the eight chosen antagonists.
Each trainer's team were selected using a variety of factors:
• Pokémon the trainer has owned in the anime
• Pokémon the trainer has used in-game
• If the Pokémon's gender/ability has been revealed in the anime or games, this has been reflected in this tournament.
• If trainer's Pokémon isn't available in SV, I've done my best to pick a suitable replacement (e.g. Diantha uses Aurorus in her Pokémon XY Team, so I gave her H-Avalugg (Rock/Ice)
• For Antagonists who could've had a Legendary on their team, I've given a Pokémon of the same type, so as to not massively unbalance the tournament. (e.g. Lusamine will have Glimmora in place of Nihilego.)
• I have given every trainer at least one Gen 9 Pokémon (Except Ash)
• Every team has at least one shiny, either because of canon or just for fun!
Tournament Rules:
• Only Metronome can be used
• All Pokémon have Max IVs, 0 EVs and neutral natures
• All Pokémon are holding Leppa Berries
• The tournament format for this season is six-on-six, single elimination
• "Trainer decisions", e.g. lead Pokémon, are chosen by random number generator.
• Remember - this is just for fun! Some people get mad because they don't feel Metronome is a true measure of how strong Pokémon are - and they're right, it isn't! But that's not was this tournament is about!
