I've tested a few of these brushed toy-grade quads, and there certainly seems to be quite a few of these folding ones about - so can we make it into more of a regular FPV acro quad ?

Lots of (affiliate) links here for stuff I used, or stuff you might want to use.

Banggood were kind enough to send me over the Realacc Brushed F3 board https://www.banggood.com/Realacc-F3-V1_0-Betaflight-Brushed-Flight-Control-Board-Integrated-OSD-with-Buzzer-STM32-F303-MPU600-p-1121378.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312

I coupled this with an FrSky XSR receiver, but if I'd have had one available, I'd have used the XM+ receiver https://www.banggood.com/Frsky-XM-Micro-D16-SBUS-Full-Range-Receiver-Up-to-16CH-p-1110020.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312

I used the AKK A5 VTX/Camera combo https://www.akktek.com/products/micro-aio-cameras/akk-a5.html?acc=6c8349cc7260ae62e3b1396831a8398f

In terms of my regular equipment I used a FrSky Taranis X9D https://www.banggood.com/Original-FrSky-2_4G-16CH-ACCST-Taranis-X9D-Plus-Transmitter-Carton-Package-p-1121799.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312 although these days, I'd probably plump for the cheaper, but almost as good QX7 https://www.banggood.com/FrSky-ACCST-Taranis-Q-X7-2_4GHz-16CH-Transmitter-White-Black-p-1112717.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312

If you are on a budget and starting out, then the radio I mentioned in the video is the FlySky FS-i6X with the A8S or X6B receiver https://www.banggood.com/FrSky-ACCST-Taranis-Q-X7-2_4GHz-16CH-Transmitter-White-Black-p-1112717.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312

My FPV Goggles are the FatShark Dominator V3 https://www.banggood.com/Fatshark-Dominator-V3-FPV-Video-Goggles-Glasses-WVGA-720p-HDMI-800X480-p-1260406.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312 with a RealAcc Diversity module https://www.banggood.com/Realacc-RX5808-Open-Source-5_8G-40CH-Split-Receiver-with-OLED-Special-for-Fatshark-Goggles-p-1068207.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312 the budget/starting out option I mentioned were the Eachine EV800s https://www.banggood.com/Eachine-EV800-5-Inches-800x480-FPV-Goggles-5_8G-40CH-Raceband-Auto-Searching-Build-In-Battery-p-1053357.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312
