FPV quick fix: Does adding a low-ESR capacitor help with video noise ?
I was having a bit of a video noise problem on my LiftRC quad, and after investigating I couldn't find a real reason for it... well, aside from 2 known faults on the flight controller. So I decided to try a low-ESR capacitor to see if it helped.
This was just soldered into the same terminals that the battery connected to - and seemed like the most simple way of trying this. A more intense way would be to put a capacitor onto each ESC terminal, but that seems like overkill.
Results show (I think) some improvement - certainly it's not gone, but it'll be interesting to test it on a quad where the noise isn't quite as pronounced in the first place.
I double-checked and found I bought these Capacitors from eBay, here's an (affiliate) link - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_id=114&ipn=icep&toolid=20004&campid=5338193410&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fitm%2F5-X-Panasonic-Ultra-Low-ESR-105-Degrees-FR-Range-Radial-Electrolytic-Capacitors%2F351313817882%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%253AMEBIDX%253AIT%26var%3D620456858598%26_trksid%3Dp2057872.m2749.l2649
