Can You Beat Ratchet & Clank With Only The Suck Cannon?
1,823The original Ratchet & Clank marked the beginnings of a long running series which some of us have been more than willing to make even harder with absurd sets of rules. But how about beating this original entry with the series' original gimmick weapon? Today, we see if we can beat Ratchet & Clank with only the Suck Cannon!
DETAILED RULES:
- No weapon listed under the "Weapons" menu may be used at any point, other than the Suck Cannon.
- The Omniwrench may not be used at any point, except to turn bolt cranks.
- Anything other than the Suck Cannon capable of dealing damage is considered illegal unless deemed necessary to progress (turrets, vehicles, etc.).
Note: This run takes place in Challenge Mode a.k.a. New Game Plus.
- No Challenge Run exclusive menus, options or features may be exploited to complete the run.
- The upgraded form purchasable with Gold Bolts (the Gold Suck Cannon) is not allowed.
- The PDA may not be used or exploited until the moment in which it is normally obtained in a fresh playthrough (Planet Oltanis after clearing the Magne-Strip path and reaching Captain Qwark).
- If, at any point, an area does not provide a sufficient amount of ammunition (enemies capable of being sucked up by the Suck Cannon), the runner must play ahead and attempt to clear the area without the use of any weapon. Failure to do so means failure of the challenge. The Omniwrench, and no other weapon, may be used to continue if the runner wishes to proceed past the point of failure, until such a time in which progression with only the Suck Cannon is viable, however the run will no longer be valid.
