Canada Geese Frenzy – Right in the Middle of the Flock! With Church Bells!
In the middle of the Flock of Canada Geese - with church bells sounding.
Ever wondered what it’s like to be surrounded by a flock of Canada geese? This up-close footage takes you right into the heart of their world! The camera was left running at the water’s edgein the green grass as the geese came in to feed. Suddenly, a dog startled them, sending the flock frantically flying to the safety of the water. But later, the geese returned—this time completely surrounding the camera with their loud calls, wing flaps, and playful antics.
Canada geese are highly social birds that thrive in structured flocks, displaying strong family bonds and cooperative behaviors. They communicate constantly through honks, grunts, and body language, reinforcing their hierarchy and keeping the group organized. Pairs mate for life, and during feeding or resting, geese often take turns standing guard to protect the flock from potential threats. When startled, their instinct is to take flight together in a synchronized escape, showcasing their remarkable awareness and coordination. Whether peacefully grazing or engaging in playful wing flaps and chatter, Canada geese exhibit a fascinating mix of camaraderie, caution, and curiosity, making them a true spectacle in the wild.

At one stage a likely elder goose, bites down hard on another, I assume, younger Canada goose. The young bird just slowly waddled away, like nothing happened.
