Candy Apples 【Let's Cook】 Caramel apples? Toffee Apples?
26Today we will be doing a chatting zatsudan while making some Candy Apples, also known as Caramel Apples, or Toffee Apples. They are delicious and easy to make!

Ingredients
8–9 cold apples
1 and 3/4 cups (420ml) heavy cream
1 cup (240ml) light corn syrup
2 cups (400g) packed light or dark brown sugar or 340g white sugar 60g Molasses
1/4 cup (4 Tbsp; 56g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Recipe
1) Clean the apples removing the natural wax
2) Get a baking sheet with a silicone liner
3) Combine the heavy cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, and salt into a 3 quart or larger sauce pan. Heat on a medium heat stirring consistently until the butter is melted
4) add vanilla
5) Stop stiring and let it slowly heat on medium heat until the caramel reaches 235-240f (113-116c)
6 Turn off heat for 10min until slightly thickened
7) Put stick into the apples (I use a reusable chopstick's wide end) into the apple
8) Dip apple into the caramel and then place onto the baking sheet with the silicone liner
