It is no secret that I enjoy looking into alternate scenarios and unusual stuff in games to see if I can softlock myself. Sometimes, the dev team has no clue something may happen. At other times, they see it coming and have a solution for it. This was one of the latter cases.

I used Haanit to lower reputation in Flamesgrace before starting Ophilia's quest, and to my surprise, the game just restores your reputation at the start of the cutscene. This means Ophilia can Guide and proceed in her chapter just fine.

In later chapters, you are allowed to just leave the town and grind for money, which can then be used to pay off the barkeep. In other words, there is no softlock as a result of inability to progress in the game thanks to poor reputation. Nice job.
