Ahoy ye swabs!
Captain Jeff here with another Review and Questioning of Adventure Time. Today I review Jermaine.
We had seen small pieces of the third brother of the family, and this was his episode. Jake meets Jermain in a dream and figures it time he and Finn visit their brother. This brings them to the house they grew up in, and Jermaine is currently living there. Outside the house, the landscape is filled with demons who like Kee-Oth, had stuff taken from them and want it back at all costs. Inside the house, Jermaine is keeping a demon named Bryce locked up in a force field. All he wants is his poster back, but with all the threats he makes, Jermaine isn't letting him go.
Things don't go too well for the family reunion, as Finn and Jake start messing up the house, and by accident, they let one of the demons into the house. This causes Jermaine to unload all his frustration on Jake, saying how he has to be responsible and watch the family keepsakes and keep a handle on Bryce while Jake has no worries or cares.
In the end, the house burns down, along with all the treasures that the demons wanted. They leave, along with Bryce, who now has his poster back and Jermain has made up with Jake. I thought this was an interesting episode. We knew in Dad's Dungeon at that point when Joshua had died, as for Margaret, we have no clue when she passed, but we get the idea she is not around any more. It was also odd to hear about the sibling rivalry. But this episode indicates once again about Jake and his care free lifestyle.
I give it a thumb and a half up.
