Captain Tsubasa 3: Koutei no Chousen (キャプテン翼3 皇帝の挑戦, or Captain Tsubasa 3: Challenge of Kaiser) is a soccer sim game released in Japan in 1992, based on the Captain Tsubasa series*. It is sort of an RPG since most of the actions are picked from a menu. Unfortunately, the entire game is in Japanese, which I am not familiar with, but I know the commands by heart, so you will not miss much.
*It may rather be an unfamiliar game for those who have never read the manga (Japanese comic) or watched the anime (Japanese cartoon) before, so I will summarize it. The story focuses on a Japanese youth football soccer team and its captain Tsubasa Oozora. The series is characterized by dynamic football moves, often stylish and implausible, so be ready to see many flashy moves and incredible action. At this point, most of the best players from said team have gone abroad into football clubs.
Finally, the Japanese team faces the Kaiser, Karl Heinz Schneider, and his powerful team, Germany, in the Universal Youth Cup final!
Opponents:
- Karl Heinz Schneider: Neo Fire Shot, Fire Shot, Overhead Kick
- Theodor Capellmann: Side Wind Shot
- Manfred Margus: Blast Head Shot
- Mezza: Top Spin Pass
- Herman Kaltz: Porcupine Dribble
- Franz Schester: Spiral Pass Cut
- Duter Müller [GK]: The best GK in the game.
I hope you like it! #CT3
