Capture One [Portrait Retouching Tutorial] Day 2 - Correcting Skin With Dodge & Burn
This is part two in my Capture One portrait retouching series. In this tutorial, we will be addressing some of the methods for correcting skin using dodge and burn. This is a method I use quite often in Photoshop but I have come up with a creative way to do it in Capture One and I think the results speak for themselves!
This series is unique because we are not going to be discussing quick fixes, but rather we will deep dive into the tools and create a very clean and polished image that will make those Lightroom users cry themselves to sleep! The goal is to make the best possible image we can without reaching for Photoshop, and when we are done we will have nearly 10 unique layers!
To make this even more interesting, you have the ability to download the RAW file for this entire series, so you can follow along! It is available at the link below for $2, which is the lowest I can go on that platform and still use discounts for other products. The model is pregnant with twins, I thought this would be a great way to raise money for her baby costs. I will also include a list of those who helped her out by paying more than the minimum amount! So, maybe get a smaller latte on the day you decide to follow along. :-) https://gumroad.com/l/RAW-200918
