This is part five, and the final chapter in this 5 part series where we retouch portraits in Capture One without the use of Photoshop. This episode is a bit of a longer one, as I could have made this into 2 or 3 videos, so be aware it is a bit longer but we cover quite a bit! We will start out talking about applying color in selective areas for art reasons or for color correction. We then go on to color grade the image to give it the feel we would like depending on the mood we want the photograph to portray. After that, we head into the base exposure, contrast, and other tools to decide on those final settings. If you have stayed with the video up to that part, we add some of my favorite finishing touches to the image, so I suggest you stick it out, as it is worth it. :-)

This series is unique because we are not going to be discussing quick fixes, but rather we will deep dive into the tools and create a very clean and polished image that will make those Lightroom users cry themselves to sleep! The goal is to make the best possible image we can without reaching for Photoshop, and when we are done we will have nearly 10 unique layers!
