Car Battler Joe (激闘!カーバトラーGO!!, Gekitou! Car Battler Go!!) is a car battling video game for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Ancient and published by Natsume and Victor. Notably, the Designer of the game is Yuzo Koshiro of Streets of Rage fame (and other games of course). It is one of the "rare" GBA titles released in limited quantities during the handheld's early years and is also the spiritual successor to Sega Saturn's "Vatlva" car combat game, which was also developed by Ancient and designed by Yuzo Koshiro.

The game involves using cars to fight opponents in action-styled battles with RPG game mechanics and battles are fought using a display similar to the classic Mode-7 display touted during the SNES' run. You play as the 16 year old Joe who looks much like one of the main characters from Vatlva btw, but younger (he even bears a similar scar on his face and red hair). Takah the job clerk also resembles one of the characters from Vatlva. Anyway, Joe is trying to become a car battling champ like his dad and he'll go on many missions and fight many opponents on the way. The game allows you to build stats through level ups and earn money during trips around the land, which can be used to upgrade your car with cool new gadgets to fight with. The game is noted for being very easy for the most part.
