PMO Meeting on September 23 to Boost Homegrown Consulting Giants
The Prime Minister’s Office will hold a high-level meeting on September 23, 2025, aimed at supporting large Indian audit and consulting firms to compete with global giants like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PwC. Chaired by Principal Secretary Shaktikanta Das, the meeting will review progress since June and discuss topics including ICAI’s proposed framework, interdisciplinary firms, and regulatory simplifications. With the Indian corporate sector heavily influenced by Big Four affiliates, the initiative seeks to enhance domestic expertise, corporate independence, and India’s share in the $240 billion global consulting market.
OpenAI Plans ChatGPT Hardware Launch by 2027
OpenAI is aiming to release its first ChatGPT-powered hardware by late 2026 or early 2027. Leveraging Apple’s supply chain and former design talent including Jony Ive and Tang Tan the company plans to produce wearables, smart speakers, and other AI-enabled devices. Partnering with Apple suppliers Luxshare and Goertek, OpenAI’s goal is to blend artificial intelligence with consumer electronics, creating a new ecosystem of AI devices.

Huawei has unveiled DeepSeek-R1-Safe, a security focused AI designed to filter harmful content and politically sensitive information. Built with 1,000 Ascend AI processors in collaboration with Zhejiang University, the model outperforms Alibaba’s Qwen-235B with an 83% security defense score, while maintaining near-original performance with less than 1% efficiency loss. This secure version, based on the open-source DeepSeek-R1, strengthens China’s AI security ecosystem while staying compliant with local regulations.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, YouTube introduced over 30 AI powered tools designed to transform content creation and audience engagement. Highlights include Veo 3 Fast for Shorts and podcast clipping, AI-assisted editing, multilingual dubbing, and advanced analytics through Ask Studio. Cyberattack Disrupts Check-in Systems at Major European Airports
Several major European airports including Berlin, Brussels, and London Heathrow faced disruptions due to a cyberattack on Collins Aerospace’s MUSE check-in system. Brussels Airport experienced significant cancellations, affecting half of Monday’s departures, while Berlin and Heathrow managed delays through Sunday. Passengers faced long queues and manual check ins as RTX, Collins’ parent company, works to restore full operations.
